Corporate Bank Account Readiness Tool

A company can be formed in a week in Turkey; the corporate bank account can take weeks longer. The difference is how the file is prepared: the source-of-funds explanation, the beneficial ownership declaration, a business purpose that matches the NACE code, and picking the right branch. This tool lets you complete the file item by item and compares the bank categories foreign founders actually use.

Opening a corporate account can take longer than forming the company. Tick your way through the list below to prepare the file — progress is stored in this browser. The bank category comparison follows underneath.

The things the bank asks about, and most founders are not ready for.

The rule that does not change

Across every bank, the authorized signatory must appear at the branch in person to sign the account documents. A power of attorney does not open a corporate account remotely — plan for at least one trip.

Ratings are general guidance on how each profile tends to handle non-resident foreign-owned company files as of 2026, from practitioner experience — not published bank policy. Branches vary widely; the right branch matters as much as the right bank. Acceptance always depends on your individual compliance file. Confirm current requirements directly with the bank.
