What is the difference between an LLC and a JSC in Turkey?

A Limited Şirket (LLC) requires minimum 50,000 TL capital, can have 1–50 shareholders, and transfers of shares require notary approval. An Anonim Şirket (JSC) requires minimum 250,000 TL capital, can have unlimited shareholders, and shares transfer freely. For most foreign founders, an LLC is simpler and cheaper to set up and run.
